Hello! I’m Dana.

I've been inspiring and supporting others on their journeys since 1990. My path has shifted through the years from school counseling to holistic healing to financial recovery counseling and retirement lifestyle coaching. In every role, my intention has always been to be of joyful service to others.

With over 30 years of experience in counseling, coaching, healing, and financial recovery work — including healing my own relationship with money — I believe I bring a grounded, compassionate presence to this transformative work.

I hold dual Master’s Degrees in Counseling and Spiritual Psychology and multiple certifications in holistic healing modalities. Additionally, I have mentored with Bari Tessler in her Art of Money™ methodology and incorporate her financial therapy and somatic practices into my work with clients.

Whether you want to heal your relationship with money, design your ideal retirement lifestyle, create a hybrid plan, or you're just not sure yet… I would love to help.

What services do you offer?

What is the difference between a financial coach and financial planner?

Financial coaches focus on creating spending plans (budgets), building savings, reducing debt, and guiding individuals in shifting their behaviors, emotions, and mindset around money. They can also prepare you to work with financial planners.

Financial planners typically focus on managing investments, and coordinating insurance, tax, estate, and retirement planning.

What is a retirement coach?

Retirement Coaches focus on the non-financial aspects of retirement. This includes creating a transition plan for the changes that will occur in your lifestyle: establishing identity, sense of purpose, and structure, and strengthening social connections, physical health, and overall well-being.

Who would benefit from creating a hybrid plan?

A hybrid plan is a great fit for anyone close to or already in retirement who wants to build a healthier relationship with money. This includes people who struggle to live within their means, or who simply want extra support creating a spending plan that aligns with their retirement lifestyle goals.

How do sessions work?

Sessions are held virtually on Zoom, so you can join from wherever feels most comfortable. Each session is 60 minutes. Financial counseling clients typically start by meeting weekly or every other week to build momentum, then shift to monthly sessions or meet as needed. Retirement coaching clients typically meet every other week or monthly.

How long does the process typically take?

Every journey looks a little different, since we're working with your life, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Most financial coaching clients work with me for about 6 months to see meaningful, lasting shifts — both in their finances and in how they feel about them. Some complete our work together and feel fully equipped to continue on their own; others choose to stay on for ongoing support.

Retirement coaching clients typically meet with me for 6 sessions over 3 to 6 months.

There's no wrong path here — we'll figure out what serves you best.

What's the investment?

I offer a single, monthly-billed program for financial coaching clients, and a 6-session package for retirement coaching clients. I know this is a meaningful investment, and I want you to feel confident it's the right fit before we begin — that's exactly what our complimentary discovery session is for. We'll talk through your goals, I'll answer any questions, and together we'll decide if we're a good match.

Do you work with couples?

I do not work with couples; however, I will work with individuals in a partnership who handle their own finances.

Do you have a financial coaching specialty?

As a single woman and solopreneur, I’m deeply passionate about empowering others on a similar path. This may include therapists, small business owners, and independent contractors.

Being single, having a variable income, and building a practice or business all come with unique challenges and I enjoy supporting my clients in overcoming them.

Do you have a retirement coaching specialty?

I’m drawn to work with solo-agers who are navigating this life transition on their own. This includes single, divorced, or recently widowed individuals.
